  • This is a local multiplayer game, but high scores are stored online so that players can compete for the highest score.
  • This game is currently a prototype. Stay tuned for updates on a future mobile port.

  1. Game Flow
    1. Very simple and straightforward. There are no bells and whistles. Like Pac-Man, you can view everything from the start and the goals are pretty much just point A to point B.

      2. All scores are stored online but only top scores are shown in-game.
  3. Game World:
    1. Images and Description
      1. The art style is inspired by cutesy cartoons and classic arcade-style games like Pac-Man.
    2. Updates with progress?
      1. WIP. The mobile build will most likely amp up the difficulty and enemy AI for further levels.
    3. Game world’s effect on gameplay
      1. The game takes place on a circuit board and explains why there are electrical obstacles and enemies present.
  4. Game Experience:
    1. What you see on start.
      1. The game begins with a brief tutorial on the situation and controls before putting you right into action.
    2. What emotions and moods are invoked.
      1. The game is supposed to be child friendly and cooperative. It’s intended to evoke a whimsical art style and thoughtfulness in the player.
    3. How are Music and sound used to convey the game’s feel
      1. WIP
    4. How do players navigate the game
      1. Simple WASD/Joystick style movement.
  5. Gameplay Mechanics:
    1. The game is designed to have an infinite loop.
    2. The goal in each round to increase your score is to make contact with a randomly placed collectible (outlet). Doing so increases your score compared with others.
    3. The game is intended to be played collaboratively with two separate players.
      1. These two separate players should not be able to move too far away from each other without pulling the other.
    4. While navigating the game for an outlet, however, you’ll encounter electricity-styled obstacles.
      1. These obstacles are randomly placed as well but swap locations after a certain amount of time.
      2. They only appear between two boundary emitters on the lined parts of the grid as shown in the wireframe.
      3. These obstacles give the game a random maze structure that forces the player to think about their surroundings and account for their co-op partner.
    5. While navigating the player can only be hit by enemies or obstacles 3 times before they have to start over.
  6. Enemies:
    1. Cranky lightning balls that roam around randomly.
      1. Lightning balls are only spawned in the farthest corners of the grid, but can move randomly to any location once the game has begun.
      2. Lightning balls despawn for a brief period after dealing damage.
